Why should I complete this course?

In addition to developing clinical competence, completion of an advanced, CPD-accredited CO₂ laser course may be required by local authorities, insurers, and environmental health departments as evidence of appropriate training and qualification. While not yet mandatory in all areas, an increasing number of councils are now requesting advanced or Level 5–equivalent laser training prior to granting approval to carry out CO₂ laser procedures.

How is the course assessed?

The online course is assessed by an exam containing 50 true/false and 20 multiple choice questions. You will need 70% to pass the exam. Do not worry about the exam, we have made it as simple as possible and we are available during your exam to answer any questions you may have.

How does the course work?

Following the purchase, your course will be downloaded in powerpoint format. This should be completed in the 'read-only' format. You will then have as long as you require to complete this course. At the end of your course, there will be a link to your online examination. This can be completed at any time and consists of 50 true/false and 20 multiple choice questions.

We will also schedule a practical course with live models for the procedures. If you already have purchased a machine and have a clinic, we can also complete the practical day online.

Do I need to do anything before the course?

Although it is not essential, having a good understanding of skin anatomy and physiology of the human body will help. You should also have completed your Core of Knowledge. We offer a Level 4 Core of knowledge for £100, and with every purchase of this course can send you a anatomy and physiology course if needed.
