Our VTCT (ITEC) Level 5 Certificate in Laser Tattoo Removal is designed to take your understanding of laser technology and tattoo removal to an advanced level, combining the science behind treatments with real, hands-on clinical experience.

You'll learn how to approach different tattoo colours, ink densities and skin types, using Q-Switched Nd:YAG technology. From understanding laser parameters and skin responses to managing complications and planning realistic treatment outcomes, we'll prepare you for the challenges you'll encounter in clinic.

Q-Switched Laser Technology
Develop an in-depth understanding of Nd laser technology, including 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths, pulse durations, fluence, spot sizes and safe treatment parameters. -
Advanced Tattoo Removal Techniques
Learn how to approach different tattoo colours, ink densities, depths and skin types to achieve safe, effective and progressive tattoo fading. -
Consultation & Treatment Planning
Develop the skills to conduct thorough consultations, identify contraindications, perform patch tests and create personalised treatment plans. -
Laser Safety & Clinic Setup
Understand laser safety requirements, protective eyewear, equipment preparation and safe clinical practice in accordance with UK standards. -
